How we score
Every title is scored 0–10 on four things — plot, characters, pacing and ending — and the overall score is our judgement, not a formula. A 7 is a solid recommendation for fans of the genre; 9+ is rare.
First-impressions reviews
Some reviews cover only the opening chapters or episodes. They say so at the top, leave the ending score blank, and are updated as we read further.
Spoilers
Reviews are spoiler-free unless marked Light spoilers or Full spoilers at the top.
Reader scores
The reader score comes from real ratings on the platform where the title is published, converted to a 10-point scale, with the number of ratings shown next to it.
Use of AI
We use AI tools to help draft reviews and summaries. Every review is checked by an editor against the source (names, events, chapter or episode counts) and edited before it is published. Reviews drafted this way carry a note.
Copyright
We never republish chapters or episodes. We quote only short passages for commentary, with credit. Cover art belongs to its owners and is shown for review purposes; see our DMCA page.
